Last night, we finished our training and today we were commissioned as Global Mission Fellows US-2 class of 2019-2021.

As I sat through the ceremony, I felt nervous, excited, exhilarated, and scared, but feeling secure in the holy spirit.

And for the first time in a long time, I don’t feel anxious about the future. Now, knowing myself, I am anxious about starting a new job, settling in, and adjusting to Philadelphia, but I am not anxious about the future as a whole.

I feel content with my current life, and I’m not afraid of the uncertainty after these two years of missionary service.

I’m thrilled to begin this new adventure, to find new friends and retain old ones, to be challenged and grow, and to be emerge wiser and well-rounded.
